Middle School Spanish Teacher

After completing a degree in Secondary Education as Spanish Teacher at University of Costa Rica, I worked for Lincoln School, an International School in San Jose, Costa Rica, with a program similar to Country Day School.  I taught Spanish for native speakers, and Spanish as second language for Secondary students from 7 to 12.  In my last years at Lincoln School, I coordinated activities for Building Community in the classroom , and I also was the Master of Ceremonies in the various   activities for High School.  While working at Lincoln, I studied and completed my degree in School Administration from University of Costa Rica, by the way, the most prestigious university in Costa Rica.  After Lincoln, I had the opportunity to work abroad, and I went to Nassau, Bahamas.  I taught in the Public System in Primary Education, and also part time in The College of the Bahamas, some nights a week.  I had the pleasure of visiting different islands, not only teaching for The College of the Bahamas during weekends, but also singing with a Latin Band in those islands, and of course in beautiful Atlantis, in Paradise Island, Bahamas.  After the Bahamas, I moved to beautiful and historic Charleston, South Carolina where I taught in Garrett Academy, Spanish as second language, and in 2006 I decided to return to my country, Costa Rica when  I was hired by Country Day School until today.  My life is being blessed not only by sharing and learning from my students, but also with the music.  I was a member of different choirs in Costa Rica, like University of  Costa Rica Choir, Symphonic Band of Costa Rica Choir,  Costa Rican  National Theater Choir, University Of Peace Choir, and with the choirs I also had the opportunity to perform not only in Costa Rica, but in different countries around the world, including Europe.   Popular Music is being also a blessing for me.  I was part of different latin bands and, besides teaching, I  love music.
