Our glorious surroundings -Lac Léman, the Jura Mountains, and the Swiss Alps -mean that skiing, hiking and outdoorsmanship are integral parts of the academic calendar. For instance, students venture out to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award, which not only boosts confidence, but also stands out on a university application.
Our broad Performing Arts programme is strengthened by our collaboration with The Juilliard School. Our collaboration with MIT takes a real-world, hands-on approach to teaching STEAM subjects. With UNICEF, we raise awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and learn to create local solutions for global issues.
The Citizenship Expedition to Arusha, Tanzania gives students priceless experience of community service while they learn about sustainability and the environment. The Personal Challenge Expedition in Les Martinets, Switzerland develops their perseverance, and challenges them to overcome personal boundaries while enjoying the breath-taking views. LCIS even offers the exclusive Exhibitioner Award, encouraging students to grow and thrive in their interests outside the curriculum, developing skills for life beyond the classroom.
With so many experiences to choose from, every student finds a way to nurture their talents and develop new skills.
