CHILDCARE

Primary Child Care and pick up from Primary activities: this service is located in the Espace Mandela building, as indicated above. 

This location provides an easier access for all, and the environment is more suited providing a larger space and classroom for our students during an important transitional part of the school day. Kindly note that no snacks are provided in this service.

Exceptional childcare:

Your children have the possibility to attend Childcare on an exceptional basis.

In this case please inform the Extracurricular department by email 24 hours in advance and be aware that this will include an extra fee of 25 CHF/child per day.

 

DAY CARE

Preschool Day Care: children supervised in Day Care will remain in the designated preschool area (Preschool kitchen) until 17.45. At 17.45, all students will be taken to the child care in Espace Mandela, centralizing the pick up area for preschool and primary students to the same venue.

An afternoon snack is provided in this service.

Exceptional Daycare:

Kindly note that your children have the possibility to attend Daycare on an exceptional basis.

In this case please inform the Extracurricular department by email 24 hours in advance and be aware that this will include an extra fee of 25 CHF/child per day.

Wednesday afternoon:

Children who are registered for an extracurricular activity on Wednesdays early afternoon, are supervised until 15:15 even when the activity is shorter. If you wish us to supervise your child beyond 15:15, we invite you to register them to the 15:15-18:45 Late Daycare service.

SECOND BUS SERVICE NEW LOCATION


Located at the back of the New Portena building on the Primary campus only.

For preschool and primary children registered in the extracurricular programme, staff will accompany the children to the bus venue.

Middle school and High school students need to be informed of the change of pick-up location. We rely on you to ensure they are aware.

Once you are on the primary school campus, keep walking straight up. Nelson Mandela court will be on your right.

Walk to the end as far as the green gate. To the right is the parking lot for the departure of the second bus.

 

BOXING INFORMATION


Equipment needed:  

  • Sports wear like jogging, t-shirt, indoor baskets or bare foot

CLASSICAL DANCE INFORMATION


Equipment needed:  

  • Pink ballet wear, ballet shoes in leather or satin and tights
  • Extra snack, bottle of water and hair elastic 

FOOTBALL INFORMATION


Equipment needed:  

  • Be prepared for winter (Sweatshirt under shirts)
  • Undershirts, shin pads and gloves

GYMNASTICS INFORMATION

  • Legging to be able to move easily (no jeans)

SAILING CLUB INFORMATION

Equipment needed:  

  • It is recommended that the students wear suitable clothes indluding a wind jacket. They should bring spare clothes and a dry towel

Meeting point : Leman Hall at 16.10 

SAILING TEAM PANTHERS Grades 9-12


Equipment needed:  

  • Students and staff compete together in key sailing events in the region
  • Sailing experience is eligible
  • Maximum 12 places
  • Membership of the CNV and Swiss sailin

 

Mandatory: 2 training sessions per week Thursdays & Saturdays

Safety: A qualified instructor will be present with the students. Lifejackets are provided and students will be instructed on appropriate and safe conduct in boats

 

Clothing and Kit:  Students should wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions ; warm clothing, wind-resistant jacket, white-soled deck shoes, sunglasses and sailing gloves. A basic change of clothing, water bottle and sun-tan cream kept in a kit bag in case of need is also a wise precaution! CDL will provide team polo shirts, wind-breaking jackets and wet-weather gear for the regattas.

Equipment needed:  

  • Swimsuit, towel and spare clothes (goggles and cap are not mandatory)
  • It is strongly recommended not to wear tights on the day of this activity
  • On cold days kindly equip your child with hats or caps
  • The other swimming equipment is provided by the Swimming pool (ex: armbands) 

Pick up at the activity venue: 

  • Primary groups: around 18:00
  • Preschool groups: around 14:45-14:50 

Pick up place after the activity:

  • Parking behind the Panthers Café at around 18:40 after this time in Childcare

TENNIS INFORMATION


 Equipment needed:  

  • It is mandatory that students have their own tennis racket, so it is suitable to their own level, size and strength.
  • Sports wear, baskets and bottle of water
  • Spare rackets are available to borrow exceptionally
