SWIMMING PROGRAMME

Here at NAS Jakarta, swimming is an essential life skill. All students strengthen their swimming skills and confidence in water during weekly lessons.

Our swimming programme follows the successful models used in Australia and America. It's based on a logical, seven-level progression that helps swimmers build their water safety, survival, and swimming skills.

Going beyond our weekly swimming lessons, students can also strengthen their skills in additional lessons of our extracurricular activities programme.

Swimming teachers and ECA coaches work closely together to ensure that our swimming lessons are differentiated to meet the abilities of different students. They carefully observe how students are progressing in their skills, supporting them to move at their own pace. Each child has a tracking sheet to record their progress, and they earn a certificate upon the completion of each level. Their tracking sheet is used during school swimming lessons and any ECA swimming lessons, alike.
