Melissa believes that creating a caring and nurturing environment, and most importantly, building trusting relationships with her students is essential in both their academic and social development. She believes that when students feel safe, comfortable and are continuously encouraged, they are more willing to ask questions, take risks and reach their full learning potential. Melissa takes pride in the strong relationships she builds with each of her students and in knowing that her students feel they are cared for.
Melissa enjoys music, cooking, outdoor activities such as hiking and camping and has always been a huge animal lover.
