A week of activities to highlight the part mathematics and numeracy plays in our World. This year we are having a theme of spirals. Understanding and predicting spirals can help us design better toilet flushes that use less water, predict hurricanes or tell us about the galaxies in our universe.
Assembly
On Monday students were given an introduction to the week. Thanks to the staff and Grade 12 who took part in the maths quiz.
Number Police
The Number Police have been stopping students, if they get the calculation right they get a star in their passport.
Spirals
Students have had the opportunity to colour in spiral patterns, reconize the patterns of numbers of spirals on the number grid and program spirals using msw logo.
Activities
Students have had the opportunity to compete against each other in activities in order to win points for their houses.
Escape Room
Students have solved the problems to find the combination to the lock.
Quiz Bowl
Not only do you need to know the answer but you need to be quick on the buzzer.
