Mark Femia is a music and drama teacher with extensive teaching experience in the United States. He has spent the past 15 years working with several private independent schools in Ohio and California, working in both choral and theatre programs, developing theatre curriculum and directing multiple school productions.
He specializes in musical theatre, working with both vocalists and actors, but also directs large-scale productions. He has received awards for his direction of such shows as Titanic the Musical, Next to Normal, Into the Woods, Chess the Musical, and [title of show], to name just a few.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from West Virginia State University, and a Master’s degree in Directing from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He has worked professionally with several amateur and professional theatre companies in the US, and just recently started his international teaching career.
Additionally, he has traveled to various US state theatre conferences, delivering workshops on the addition and maintenance of high school theatre programs. In his spare time, he enjoys researching his Italian family tree and is learning the Italian language in hopes of one day relocating
