- Post Graduate Certificate in Education, University of Bradford
After gaining a BA (Hons) from the University of Leeds, and a PGCE from the University of Bradford, Kerry began her career in a small, Scottish island community. She has since worked in schools in Spain, China and England.
During her 14 year teaching career, Kerry has gained experience of a wide range of cultures, curriculums and ages, from a small country school in Scotland to a multicultural international school in one of the world's largest cities. She is looking forward to learning about Indonesia and excited about joining the NIS community in August.
Kerry is passionate about teaching and strives to inspire creativity and curiosity in her classroom. She enjoys using music and drama to motivate children and works hard to learn about her students and nurture their interests.
Kerry has travelled extensively throughout the world and, this year, finished a journey from Alaska to Brazil, following the Pan-American Highway. She has recently conquered her fear of exercise and discovered a love of running and hiking, completing three half marathons and a five-day trek through Spain. Her other hobbies include singing, practising Spanish and learning the ukulele.
