ENGLISH NATIONAL CURRICULUM

One of the leading schools in Thailand, Regents’ secondary curriculum stretches our students academically and personally, encouraging them to be ambitious, think critically, and become leaders. At Key Stage 4, a variety of subject options and experiences enable them to tailor their own journey to sixth form.

OUR SECONDARY SCHOOL CURRICULA

Our secondary students follow the English National Curriculum, which culminates in their IGCSE exams at 16. Divided into two stages – Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 – our curriculum will enable your child to specialise in their chosen subjects and take on new challenges beyond the classroom.

KEY STAGE 3

At Key Stage 3, your child will explore concepts, processes, and skills in a wide range of subjects.

Students study English (or English as a second language), maths, science, art, design and technology, drama, geography, history, ICT, music, PE, and personal and social health education (PSHE). They also choose a modern foreign language (either Spanish, Mandarin, French, or Thai). Our Thai nationals are required to take Thai language.

Your child will be placed in ability sets for English, maths, science, and literacy. All other subjects are taught in mixed ability tutor groups.

Our teachers will encourage your child to become a confident, independent learner. In each subject, they’ll be supported to assess their own work, identify areas for development, and establish clear goals.

IGCSE SUBJECT CHOICES

Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is specifically designed to set our students up for success at IGCSE level. Assessment criteria and teaching content ensure students know, understand, and have the key skills they need to get outstanding exam results.

We know that choosing which subjects to study at IGCSE can be a difficult process. We’ll support your child every step of the way, exploring options and identifying career and university aspirations.

IGCSE CURRICULUM

At Key Stage 4, our students study for their IGCSEs. Your child will typically follow 10 subjects, which also gives them plenty of time to explore co-curricular interests.

Subjects include compulsory English language, English literature, maths, combined science (physics, chemistry, and biology), core PE, and growing minds. Your child will then choose four subjects from the following options: psychology, ICT, computer science, geography, business studies, economics, fine art, history, DT graphic products, photography, graphic communication, music, PE, drama, travel and tourism, and 3D design.

Students also choose one language to study. We offer Thai (first language), Korean (first language), Mandarin (first language), Russian (first language), Mandarin, Spanish, or French. Students who aren’t native English speakers will take English as a second language instead of English language and English literature.

Our courses cater for every ability level, giving students the option to study either ‘core’ or ‘extended’ papers. The extended curriculum is more challenging and designed for those who are expected to achieve higher grades.

Our IGCSE courses are recognised across the world. Adapted to each student’s needs, strengths, and interests, they provide a comprehensive breadth of academic study, helping your child develop vital problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and recall of knowledge skills.

This sets them up for the challenge of either A-levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
