Regents Dance Academy - new this year!

Monday 1 - Friday 5 July
age 10+ years

• Join us for our new Dance Academy with our specialist Dance artist, Graeme Spencer.

• Learn new dance styles

• Develop technique and performance skills

• Explore creative approaches

• Take your dancing to the next level

With over 12 years of experience as a guest teacher, lecturer and choreographer in schools, universities and vocational dance institutes across the UK, Australia and Thailand, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Graeme is trained in classical, commercial and contemporary styles. He has worked to establish dance curriculums across Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education, as well as working in the professional industry as a choreographer for stage and film.

As a Nord Anglia Education school, we are passionate about the performing arts and work with the world’s best organisations, including The Juilliard School, the world-renowned performing arts conservatory, to provide outstanding opportunities and experiences. Graeme is a highly experienced teacher and has worked alongside Juilliard specialists to enhance our vibrant performing arts programme. Known for his dynamic teaching approach, this is your opportunity to join our unique Regents Dance experience.

Regents Summer School: 1-19 July

Pandas – ages 4-5 years

Themes: Week 1 - At the Zoo / Week 2 - Fun at the Farm / Week 3 - Ready, Set, Go!
Sample trips: Zoo, sheep farm and Kidzoona soft play area.
What’s included: Learning about ourselves, our bodies and the world around us. We will spend lots of time learning and practicing English, along with working on our gross motor skills. Due to the hot weather we will be swimming and taking part in water play activities often, so spare clothes will be a must!
Parent involvement: We hope you will join us for a picnic, singing and our sports day.

Elephants – ages 6-7 years

Themes: Week 1 - Into the Wild! / Week 2 - Let’s Get Wet! / Week 3 - We Can Move!
Sample trips: Horse riding, water park and Harbor Land indoor adventure playground.
What’s included: We are looking forward to creating mosaics, painting and making 3D models. We will write our own stories and non-fiction text, as well as daily reading and phonics sessions to support your children’s literacy and English development. The children will be the leaders of their own play and have access to continuous creative learning provision too.
Parent involvement: A movie premier, an art exhibition and an afternoon tea party.

Tigers – ages 8-9 years

Themes: Week 1 - It’s a Wonderful World / Week 2 – Animal Adventures / Week 3 - Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside
Sample trips: A 3D art museum, Flight of the Gibbon and an aquarium.
What’s included: We will investigate the parts of a plant, create our own pieces of 3D art,
design and make animal dioramas, enjoy baking, sports, dance and much, much more!
Parent involvement: An art exhibition, presentation and fashion show.

Lions - ages 10+ years

Themes: Week 1 - The Greatest Invention / Week 2 - Superheroes / Week 3 - Robo Wars
Sample trips: Pattaya Elephant Sanctuary, Habor Land (including Jump XL and Lazer Quest)
and Ramayana Water Park.
What’s included: STEAM-related themes to include the planning, designing
and making of an innovative idea each week.
Parent involvement: Exhibitions of designs, planning and films.

Summer School and Dance Academy Prices

All prices include activities (9am - 3pm, Monday to Friday), lunch, two summer school t-shirts and a drawstring backpack. A return transport service is available at an additional cost.

Early Bird discount of 10% if sign up and pay in full by 1 May 2019.
Sibling discount 5% for second child and 10% for third and additional siblings.
