ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

JOINING THE LCIS COMMUNITY

LCIS is an academically ambitious and non-selective school. We offer places all year round to students already in Switzerland and those currently living abroad. Our Admissions team are dedicated to ensuring you have a seamless experience when joining our school.

 

Some students need English as an Additional Language (EAL) support to accelerate their learning development. LCIS is committed to tailoring their learning, and we’ll assist you in finding the level of support to benefit them most.


A place at LCIS is offered upon evaluation of your family’s application form and your child’s previous school reports and depends on availability within the year group requested.

QUESTIONS

  • What documents are needed to apply?

    When completing your online application form, you must provide:

    • a copy of your child’s passport

    • a recent photo of your child

    • their last school reports

    • a copy of their health insurance card

    • residency permit (once you are in Switzerland)

    • specialist and medical reports relating to your child’s needs (if applicable).


    Once we’ve received and verified all your documents, we’ll confirm your     placement offer. For more information, email us at     admissions@lcis.ch.

  • How long should I expect the admissions process to take from start to finish?
    Once you’ve submitted your application form and supporting documentation, our friendly staff will get back to you within 24 hours (excluding weekends).
  • How does the application process work if my company is paying the tuition fees?
    Our aim is for the application process to be as easy and seamless as possible for parents. If your company is paying your tuition fees, our friendly Admissions and Finance teams will be happy to liaise with them direct, allowing you to concentrate on your child’s wellbeing and education.
  • Can you apply to start midsemester?
    Yes absolutely, you can apply to join any time as LCIS accepts new students all year round. That said, we always advise new families to try and join at the start of the school year (every August) if they can.
