extraordinary trips and expeditions
Some of the most valuable learning happens when students try something new, face challenge, and see the world from a different point of view. Through trips, service, and wider experiences beyond the classroom, students build independence, empathy, and resilience. At NAS Abu Dhabi students will have amazing opportunities to explore the world through local and international trips and experiences.
Tanzania
Our citizenship trip to Arusha, Tanzania is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your child will learn about global responsibility and sustainability, and the important role we play in looking after our planet. Working with locals on a variety of projects, our students develop a sense of independence, increase their understanding of the world, and realise the importance of community.
Switzerland
Our personal challenge expedition in Les Martinets, Switzerland, encourages our students to take risks and push themselves out of their comfort zone. Set in the beautiful Swiss Alps, students hike through the mountains and take on a series of challenges. They also learn important skills – like cooking and working together under pressure – while creating treasured memories that will stay with them forever.

Based on Al Reem Island, NAS Abu Dhabi is well placed to make the most of the UAE’s rich cultural, historical, and outdoor experiences. Local trips help students connect classroom learning to real life, while building a stronger understanding of the country they live in. From cultural visits and sporting events to service opportunities and outdoor activities, these experiences add breadth to school life and help students grow in confidence, curiosity, and perspective.

- Yes, we accept students all year round, and your child can join as at any point in the academic year.
- Is the process different if my company pays the fees?
- If your company is paying your child’s fees, our admissions and finance teams will be happy to deal with them directly. Please let us know as early as possible in the application process.
- What curricula do you teach?
At NAS Abu Dhabi, we teach the English National Curriculum from Nursery through to Sixth Form. This includes:
- Early Years (ages 3-5): Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Primary (ages 5-11): English National Curriculum.
- Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14): English National Curriculum.
- Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16): IGCSEs.
