Cubs Visit the Cake Factory

13 mei 2014

Pre Nursery went on their very first school trip today to the Ganso cake factory. Pre-Nursery and Nursery Leader, Natalie Walker tells us about the trip.

  • Pre-Nursery take a trip to the Cake Factory

The Cubs had a go at decorating their own cakes.

The children were so excited and talked about it all week before the day finally arrived. Everyone was really excited to go on the big school buses, and sat perfectly the whole way there. This was a learning experience in itself as this was many of the children’s first time inside a bus.

We were greeted at the door by the very friendly staff who led us through a long corridor with big windows looking into the cake factory. The children could see all the workers busy mixing the ingredients, the big cookers and all the delicious icing!

As we made it to the top of the stairs the children got a huge surprise as there was a big soft play area for us to play in. We used the swings, slides, cars and bikes, rushing around using all our energy. As part of our previous theme we talked about keeping fit and healthy and this was a great way for us to try out all the different ways of staying fit.

We were then led into a big room to decorate our very own cake. The children were given white icing to cover the cake and coloured icing to decorate. They could not wait to show their mums and dads. Over the entire trip was a huge success and we will certainly be going back!
