How long have you been at BISS Puxi? I have been here nearly three years.
What do you enjoy most about working here? The children here are brilliant. I love the fact they are open to new experiences, always going for it with enthusiasm and good humour.
You’re directing Treasure Island that is showing this week, what has been your highlight of the whole process? Treasure Island has been a long process, but it has been wonderful to see it finally come together and to see the children give such confident performances, particularly for those who have little or no experience of performing.
What’s your favourite thing to do in Shanghai? My favourite thing to do in Shanghai is eat! I enjoy trying out new restaurants and particularly love Korean food and xiaolongbao.
What is the best holiday you’ve had whilst living in China? Living in Asia, every holiday becomes the best one. I think my favourites though have to be Sri Lanka and India.
Where are you from and what do you miss most from home? I am from London and miss the city itself. Nothing beats a hot (they do happen) summer in London. I also miss shopping in ‘Boots’….Watsons just isn’t the same!
