Year 6 BISSCAs: Celebrating Success

24 juni 2014

The BISSCAs was a wonderful event where students, parents and staff came together to celebrate the amazing individual and collective achievements of Year 6.

  • Year 6 make their way over to secondary for their graduation

Year 6 making their way over to the secondary school for their graduation ceremony

Each child was recognised for their special talents, receiving a golden BISSCA trophy and personalised certificate to mark this occasion. The ceremony was really special as it was completely student led, with articulate and humorous presenters, fantastic musical performances and entertaining video clips of student achievements. The students looked so mature and proud, not to mention gorgeous and handsome in their graduation glad-rags! An impressive event, presented by impressive young people!

The ceremony concluded with each child being presented with a school tie by Mr White, Vice Principal. This act symbolised that the students are coming to the end of the Primary phase of their schooling and will be moving on to Secondary after the summer.

We are so proud of these young people and all that they have achieved so far. They have learned the value of hard work and perseverance, set and achieved ambitious goals, and conquered fears. They have become resilient to deal with change and have creative and enquiring minds. Some have found their passions and are already excelling in them, while others are still exploring what life has to offer them. We know that they are now ready for new challenges and are confident to embark on this important next stage of their learning journey into Secondary.

Well done Year 6 and Good Luck!

- Niki Meehan, Head of Primary
