PTA Christmas Fair 2015

03 december 2015

This time last week, Shanghai felt like Lapland but without the snow as winter had seemingly arrived in the city earlier than usual.

  • 2015 PTA Christmas Fair

However, an early Christmas present was delivered to BISS Puxi when the sub-zero temperatures gave way to pleasantly mild temperatures for The PTA Christmas Fair held last Saturday.

Over 1700 people attended the fair on the day enjoying the range of stalls by vendors in attendance and games hosted by our IB students.

Very popular was The Sponge the Teacher stall which saw many students take turns to soak teachers from both primary and secondary.

All proceeds from the day and fundraising events held earlier in the year are of course being donated to the Indochina Starfish Foundation. We hope to be able to announce the final figure raised by the start of next week.

Generous donations to the event were of course made by the official sponsors of the Christmas Fair listed below who we’re extremely grateful for:

CETA Tennis

DTL

Forest Manor

Pure Smile

Sherpas

Renaud Air

Special thanks also to the PTA for organising the Fair, the CAS students who manned stalls on the day and CAS Coordinator, Ms Coong.

A selection of pictures from the day can be viewed on our website here.

As 2015 draws to a close, we’re already looking forward to further PTA events in 2016 with full details to be announced on our blog in January.
