Students and parents generously provided an array of snacks from the three countries, which the children enjoyed.
We then played games from different countries, starting with a Schnitzeljagd, a treasure hunt, and then ‘ich kenne 10’ (a ball game) and the children’s game ‘Fruit salad’. The parents were set the challenge of answering cultural and language questions on France, Germany and Spain, set by the KS3 native class children. The parents did extremely well (with the help of the internet!) but were still beaten by the KS3 team.
We finished by the students and parents doing fantastic freeze frames, with the titles given in different languages, such as do a freeze frame of being cowboys and a day on the beach.
What a great party!
