Surrounded by stunning scenery, we took the ferry and headed to the site of bamboo rafting.

The raft making was not easy, but it was a lot of fun and a valuable opportunity for everyone to learn more about team work.

We then went on a two-hour long hiking around Xingping village before settling down to a barbecue feast for dinner.

Our second day in Guilin was finished off by a cosy bonfire and a cake for Mr Gale's birthday.
