Week Beginning 6 March 2017

  • Children can participate in our weekly swimming lessons once they are toilet trained, and we have many children now enjoying this weekly experience.  If your child is ready for swimming, please send a swimming kit each Wednesday.  This should include a swimsuit, swimhat, towel and goggles.

As the weather begins to warm up we will begin to notice spring flowers and new growth in our environment.  We anticipate learning around growth, flowers, colours and food that we can grow.  This links into our previous topics around food. Over the long weekend see if you can spot any buds on the trees or signs of Spring.

Colour knowledge and sorting forms an important part of our maths curriculum in early years.  This week the children will have many opportunities for noticing and working with colours around us, this will link into art, role-play, construction and our spring plant theme.
