Paul commenced his teaching career in 1980 and moved to his first school in Kuwait in 1982. He joined The British School of Kuwait (BSK) in 1996, becoming Assistant Head Teacher in 1998, Head Teacher in 2001 and Principal in 2009.
BSK is widely recognised as the leading school in Kuwait and has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ status by the United Kingdom Department of Education on its last three consecutive inspections.
Paul has held roles as a teacher and leader of Geography teams in schools across England and Kuwait. He has held senior managerial positions in Malaysia and at BSK.
Paul gained his first degrees at the University of Liverpool and at the University of Chester. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in 2002.
