We are looking to create a pool of applicants interested in current and future Student Support Assistant vacancies.
The SSA role consists of assisting in the support and inclusion of pupils with additional educational needs (for example, those with English language difficulties, social and emotional difficulties or other academic educational needs).
The aim of an SSA is to help the pupil to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and individually, inside and outside of the classroom. This is achieved by, in conjunction with the head of Inclusion, developing and carrying out a suitable programme of support both within the classroom and in a withdrawal situation.
Successful candidates will be fluent English language speakers. Fluency in an additional language would be an advantage. Experience of working in a school environment would be desirable, as would degree-level education.
Expressions of interest should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line ‘Student Support Assistant’ accompanied by a CV and covering letter.
