School Librarian

  • Period: Full Time

The School Library is a dynamic and innovative environment which supports our motivated and high achieving students in a wide range of activities that develop a love for reading and high level of information literacy skills. As a School Librarian you will contribute to information literacy programmes throughout the school and will help to support the further development of digital library. You will be working closely with students providing them guidance within study and writing skills development.

With proven organisational and personnel skills, you will be an excellent communicator who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents within an international and multi-cultural setting. You will have a vision for how modern 21st Century libraries can support learners and how they can be the central resource for learning, research and collaboration for the community. Amongst other things, you will have a good sense of humour and will be driven by your passion to develop and grow the school library system.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing library systems and information management (essential)
  • Technological expertise in electronic information resources
  • Deep Knowledge of research, reading, writing and literacy development
  • High level of international and inter-cultural understanding (essential)
  • Outstanding working experience with children and adults

Selection Process

Applicants should submit a CV, letter of application and the details of two professional referees, one of which should be your current Line Manager.

The closing date for application is 26th July 2018. Interviews will be conducted at the School.
