The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an outstanding Head of HR to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.
About the Role
Reporting to the Principal and leading the HR team, the Head of HR is responsible for the delivery of all HR operations and strategy. The Head of HR will ensure compliance with all legal, employee-related and licencing requirements and provide school leaders with specialist HR advice. A key component of the role is to provide all members of staff with exceptional HR customer service throughout the employee lifecycle.
The Head of HR and HR team support the school in the following areas:
- Recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
- Employee relations / employee engagement
- HR advice and metrics
- Compensation and reward
- Talent and performance management
- Training and development
- Legal and regulatory compliance
- Company accommodation management
- Regional HR projects

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Degree level education
- Significant generalist HR experience
- Solid project management skills
- Experience of managing a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of handling legal and contractual issues
- Strong influencing skills and confidence to challenge
