I graduated from the University of Cumbria in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in the Advanced Study of Early Years. Since graduating I have taught classes within both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage One in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and China.
Throughout my career I have taken on the additional roles of Computing coordinator, Mathematics coordinator and Year Group Leader. I am a passionate and nurturing teacher who encourages all students to reach their full potential by providing them with varied, interesting and differentiated lessons that cater for their different learning styles. My enthusiastic teaching approach ensures that the students I teach are engaged and eager to learn.
I live here in Abu Dhabi with my husband, my son who will be joining Nursery in September and my baby daughter. I love family life here and you can often find us enjoying our weekends at Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World, or at one of the many fabulous beaches. In my spare time I am a keen traveller and love to visit my friends and family who are scattered across the globe.
This is my sixth year teaching at BIS Abu Dhabi. I love working here as there are so many nationalities and cultures coming together to make for a true international experience. I am thoroughly looking forward to teaching in Year 2 in the forthcoming academic year, and can’t wait to meet my new students and their families.
