Thomas Graham

Year 4 Teacher

Mr. Graham gained his teaching degree at Canterbury Christchurch University, and has taught in England and Ras Al Khaimah before moving to Abu Dhabi.

Mr. Graham gained his teaching degree at Canterbury Christchurch University. He started his teaching career in England, working for several years in Special Education. This was a particularly rewarding period in his early career, culminating with his appointment as an Assistant Head teacher.

Mr Graham then took the decision to fulfil his ambition of teaching abroad by moving to Ras Al Khaimah. Having really enjoyed his time in the UAE, he decided that a new challenge within the Emirates was required. The school philosophy of 'be ambitious' fits perfectly with his own teaching philosophy. Mr Graham is extremely excited to continue his journey in education at BIS Abu Dhabi.

From Mr. Graham:

I am from a small town in England called Dover. In my spare time, I very much enjoy playing a range of sports, including rugby, football and running. My main passion is travelling, I love to visit new places and explore different cultures. Most recently I travelled around Asia and managed to visit some amazing places. I have lived in the United Arab Emirates for several years and I have enjoyed every minute.

Joining the team at BIS Abu Dhabi was an easy decision for me to make. The school ethos and values are very similar to my own and I feel that this is the perfect place to further develop as a teacher. The ambition and high expectations, which the school continues to show, are also central to my classroom beliefs.
