Whilst studying Sport Science at The University of Bedfordshire, I found a passion for coaching sport, leading to an interest in teaching. After completing a school teacher training year along with a PGCE from Oxford Brooks University, I began working in a primary school in Milton Keynes England – predominantly in Year 5 and Year 6.
In addition to my responsibilities as a class teacher, I worked as an Assistant Head Teacher for the previous two years, as well as leading Maths and PE across the school. Working as a part of a team is important to me and supporting other members of staff has been vital in my time as a teacher.
I was born and raised in Milton Keynes. I love all sports, particularly football, which I enjoy watching, playing and coaching as often as I possibly can. I also enjoy playing cricket and badminton. My wife and I love to travel; we enjoy experiencing different cultures to further broaden our understanding of the world. We have visited the UAE on a number of occasions and loved it, we decided a number of years ago that we would like to live and work in the country and we’re delighted that this has finally happened. My passion is for teaching, I really enjoy working in education and having a positive impact on the lives and futures of others.
I feel privileged and excited to be given the opportunity to join an amazing school with such an experienced group of teachers. The school caught my attention as we share a similar approach and ethos towards teaching – always putting the children at the centre of everything. The school clearly stands out as somewhere which offers the children a high standard of education. The resources and facilities available at the school are amazing and completely different to the previous schools I’ve worked in. I enoy being a part of the school and its community.
