After graduating from Plymouth University in 2013, I joined a primary school in South Gloucestershire, England, where I taught for 6 years. During this time, I was lucky enough to teach a range of different age groups across KS1 and KS2, and gained a wealth of experience which I consistently draw upon during my teaching today. As part of my teaching journey, I completed a NPQML qualification and have been directly responsible for leading Mathematics, Music and Residential Trips.
When I was given the opportunity to teach at BIS Abu Dhabi, I was ecstatic and could not wait to join this community that strives to provide all its members with the tools and opportunities to be the best they can be.
I have spent the majority of my life in South West England absorbing the different opportunities that it has to offer such as the vast history and culture alongside it breathe taking coast lines. I enjoy going on adventures to new places and making unforgettable memories which I know will continue as I explore Abu Dhabi.
Fitness is a big part of my daily life and I strive to keep as active as possible through walking, cycling, going to the gym or completing home workouts. This is very beneficial as my kitchen is often filled with a variety of home bakes as I love to explore new recipes, some of which are not always as successful as planned.
BIS Abu Dhabi is the perfect place to start my international teaching journey as it provides a nurturing and supportive environment that enables everyone to achieve their dreams.
