Zakariya

Congratulations Zakaria on your amazing IGCSE results!

Celebrating one of our IGCSE 2019 highest achievers, Zakaria. Below he shares his thoughts about completing the course and his achievements:

How was your experience doing IGCSEs in BIS Abu Dhabi?

My IGCSE experience was a long and arduous process that required a lot more effort and time management than I had ever experienced during my time in school. IGCSEs were the first serious examinations I had ever taken and a lot of what I learned along the way has proven very useful for the IB Diploma- which is a big step up. I’m also very grateful for all the support I was given in those two years from friends, family and my teachers. In the end, the IGCSE experience was building up towards a very stressful exam season but all the hard work paid off.

Are you happy with your results?

Of course, I am very happy with the results I received, especially with my 9 in Economics, since I was predicted a 6 (thanks Miss Jamal). However, I was slightly disappointed with my English results since I feel I could’ve brought them up if I spent more time on my course work. But that’s ok since the IGCSEs were overall very rewarding.

What are you plans for the future?

I hope to carry on my good results from IGCSE and bring them into my IB, which inshallah will get me into a top university (hopefully MIT) where I’d like to study Computer Science. Maybe from there I could create my own start up and begin a successful journey.

Zakariya's IGCSE results: 5x9, 2xA*, 1x8 & 1x7.
