Jomana shares her thoughts about completing the course and her achievements.

Celebrating our IGCSE 2020 highest achiever, Jomana. Below Jomana shares her thoughts about completing the course and her achievements:

How was your experience completing the two-year IGCSE courses at BIS Abu Dhabi?

My experience in completing my IGCSEs at BIS Abu Dhabi could be described as an emotional rollercoaster. There were definitely days where the work piled up and the stress was at an all-time high, but there were some calmer days. As I went on I noticed a pattern and this allowed me to really salvage those moments of peace and quiet by doing something I love or balancing out the work.

Going through my IGCSEs was a journey. There were moments that I felt extremely proud of myself and there were others where it was not so great. Regardless, nothing made me prouder than when I got my results and I felt like all my results were rewarded fairly and it gave these past two years so much value in my heart. My IGCSEs taught me many things as a person and a student, and I took away from it so much more than I could even imagine going in. I came out of it a smarter, better, harder-working person, and I owe it all to my teachers and peers and family, but mostly I owe it to myself and I am so glad I pushed myself to where I am today.

What are you plans for the future?

Ever since I started my IGCSEs I always had one passion in mind, Architecture, and now that I am in IB I have decided to follow through with that dream, that is in terms of academics. As for my personal life, I will continue to practice equestrian sports, and hopefully, after I graduate I wish to travel the world and spend more time with my family and friends, because if there was anything my IGCSEs taught me was the value of time and the little moments and memories that matter, but nevertheless I am ready for the chaotic but exciting years ahead.
