Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Every week, I try to turn the spotlight on a different area of the school. This week, I wanted to highlight our sporting achievements. The vast majority of students at NAISAK love PE and sport, with all ages from EYFS to our oldest students participating in curricular lessons with great enthusiasm. Many of our students also enjoy sport outside class time, through the ECA programme and squad training sessions. Every week, we send out teams in a variety of sports to play against strong opposition from other international schools. Over the last couple of weeks, all that hard work has paid off with some great performances in local competitions. We have seen some amazing results from our NAISAK students, particularly our older pupils in Secondary school. We have celebrated some particularly impressive wins in the following events:

  • U16 Girls Netball finishing with Bronze in the QUESS Netball Tournament
  • U16 Girls Volleyball Team finishing 2nd in the QUESS Volleyball League
  • U16 Boys Volleyball Team winning 3 games in their first-ever season in the QUESS Volleyball League
  • U14 Girls Netball defeating Doha College in the opening game of the QUESS Netball League

These are fantastic results for any school and I am so proud to celebrate these achievements. Our Secondary squads are very dedicated when it comes to training, with many hours of training being put in outside of school time. Of course, the students are also supported by our fantastic PE team, who work tirelessly to get our teams to peak performance. I would like to personally thank Mr Gavin, Ms Laura, Mr Monzer, Ms Sonia and Mr Arief for all their hard work and dedication. Under the leadership of our Director of Sport, Mr Todd Wain, our PE Department is clearly settling for nothing less than success this year!
