Dear Parents and Students
Ramadan Kareem to all of the families in our community that will be celebrating the Holy month of Ramadan, starting from the end of this week. As a school, we appreciate the challenges our students and families face whilst fasting and attending school. We encourage students to attend school during Ramadan and endeavour to accommodate any requests that parents may have. You will have noticed that we have cancelled extra-curricular activities (ECAs), moved assessment week to this week and adjusted our hours to 08:00-13:00 during Ramadan.
May Allah look favourably upon your fasting and answer your prayers!

Visit from Juilliard
We were delighted to welcome Richard Mannoia from The Juilliard School today. Richard had an exciting day where he observed a number of music and drama lessons. Richard also spent time with some parents from our PTFA where he talked about the benefits of the Juilliard partnership for our students. Richard finished his visit by providing us information on how we can use this exceptional initiative to maximise its impact at NAISAK.
We are delighted to inform you that we have come to an agreement with Zak’s, who will be the exclusive supplier of the NAISAK uniform from the start of next academic year. In addition to setting up a temporary store at school at the start of the academic year, the NAISAK uniform will also be available for purchase at their store in Doha. Additionally, the uniform will be available for purchase from their online store. The quality of the uniform is excellent and the prices are extremely competitive, as we are benefitting from discounted prices since they will be supplying uniform for all of the Nord Anglia schools in the Middle East. We will have a transition phase where students are permitted to wear any uniform that was purchased this year until the end of the 2017/2018 academic year. However, any uniform that is more than one year old (e.g. Compass International School) will no longer be permitted from the start of next academic year.
Parents are requested to not purchase any new uniform from our current supplier. Please note that the PE uniform is an exception to this rule and will continue to be provided through Saracen.
I have previously written about the research that shows the importance attendance plays in children fulfilling their individual potential. With this in mind, we have created an attendance policy, which can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
Please note this policy will be enforced from the start of next academic year. As an ambitious school, we expect students to attend school every day and ask for your support in recognising this important goal.
