We hope to see you all there!
Nord Anglia Music Exposition Dubai (NAMED)
NAMED will allow young musicians from around the Gulf to learn from each other, to perform together and to build their creativity and confidence as performers and global citizens.
Through NAMED, we aim to:
- create outstanding opportunities for students to develop their musical skills, knowledge and understanding through rehearsals, workshops delivered by experts, peer-to-peer learning and high quality performances;
- expose students to a wide range of musical experiences, such as the discipline of playing in an orchestra, singing in a choir, receiving tuition from experts, watching a performance and performing a wide variety of musical styles;
- cultivate open-mindedness in our students as they travel to a vibrant and cultural city, and meet people from all around the Gulf.
The culmination of NAMED will be a concert at Nord Anglia International School Dubai on Friday 12 May at 16:00. Students will perform the music they have been rehearsing and experience what it is like to perform as part of a global ensemble.
The seven students to represent NAISAK are: Elia Johnson, Ellie Davis, Tawfiq Hamad, Hussein Hamad, Sophie De’ath, Athiyyah Nor Amirah and Anna Davis. They are all outstanding musicians and representatives of NAISAK, and we hope that they will make the most of this unique opportunity.
