My first teaching post was in a First School in Bournemouth where I was fortunate enough to teach for 4 years in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. I gained a wealth of experience during my first years of teaching, becoming PE leader and gaining a National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership.
I have lived and worked for the past 7 years in Singapore at the Nord Anglia school, Dover Court International School. It was a privilege to live and work in such a multicultural country, broadening my experiences of different cultures and traditions. During my time at Dover Court International School, I have fulfilled many roles such as leading a whole school Teaching Assistant training course, being a member of the school Charity Committee and undertaking the role of Year Group Leader for Year 1.
I am passionate about teaching young children and enjoy the challenge of supporting them to learn new skills. I believe in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for the children so they can develop their independence as life-long learners. I am motivated by the progress the children make both academically and socially and I enjoy the enthusiasm and energy that the children bring to the classroom.
It is important to me to always aim to make learning relevant and highly engaging for all children.
I have a passion for travel and love to explore new people, places and cuisines. I also enjoy the outdoors and love to relax with a long walk. One of my most favourite places to visit is my family farm in the Devon countryside. I enjoy the peace and quiet of the English countryside as well as the busyness and vibrance of the city.
I feel very proud to be part of the Nord Anglia family and privileged to be part of the NAISAK team.
