My entire career has been devoted to the teaching profession, which I consider my calling in life, such that I make a positive impact with all my students. Ever since I started, back in 2000, I try and help to mold and shape the future of young adults by bringing the outside world into the classroom. I was fortunate enough to be able to achieve my childhood dream of teaching, for the first 13 years in several schools in Portugal, where I started as a classroom teacher and quickly moving to develop the Humanities department. I then decided to embrace my need to teach abroad and continue to pursue my natural curiosity for other cultures and societies ending up in Newcastle, in the United Kingdom. This amazing experience led me to Manchester to embrace a new project in an outstanding school, Trinity.
Soon Amman and Jordan appeared in my life. Since 2016 I have been lucky enough to live and work in this amazing city and country, getting in touch with a fantastic population, community and culture.
Then the opportunity to move to Qatar and to be part of the NAISAK family came along, I didn't give a second thought, and it has proven to be the right choice as I've been lucky enough to be greatly received and integrated into this lovely community. At the same time, I have been privileged to witness the growth of our students and see them take advantage of the amazing opportunities that NAISAK offers.
I’m a very eclectic person with many and varied interests. I love sports, both watching and practising, as much as I love cooking, films books and music. Travelling is also one of my many passions.
