I am a teacher of Mathematics in secondary school. My certificates include a Master’s degree in aerospace Engineering and a PGCE in secondary school mathematics. I have worked for several world-renowned companies in the aerospace industry and I believe that my students can benefit from the skills that I have acquired as an engineer.
I became a teacher as I enjoy working with young adults helping them in shaping their future and the future of the world. I have been greatly inspired by all the amazing teachers I had during my student years and I will be very grateful if I could have as much of a positive impact on my own students.
I joined NAISAK as it seems to have a strong culture of academic growth that encourages lifelong learning for students and staff. Also, NAISAK has a multi-cultural background, which I find very appealing as it promotes tolerance and acceptance.
As a teacher I would like my students to appreciate the value of mathematics through the use of real life examples and projects. I also want them to understand the link between mathematics and other areas of study such as science and engineering, art, music and sports. Additionally, I would like to form a learning environment that promotes creativity, independent thinking, problem solving, group work as well as independent learning; also, a relationship that is rooted in mutual respect but is also friendly enough to allow the students to express their ideas and emotions freely.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling, visiting art galleries and museums, photography, spending time with family and friends, swimming and watching movies and documentaries.
This School will be different to all others I have worked at because this is my first experience of working in an international school and also my first job outside the UK. I am therefore quite excited and I am looking forward to meeting my students and their families.
