House Talent Show 2017

We would like to invite the students of KS1 and KS2 to audition for the House Talent Show 2017!!!

To take part, the students should prepare a short item that shows off their talent. This could be poetry reading, music, drama, dance, art, comedy, magic or any other skill that your child would like to share. Please bear in mind the audience when preparing so that the talent is presented in an interesting and entertaining way!

The auditions will take place during music lessons in the week beginning 23rd January. Your child should plan, rehearse and be prepared to show their talent during that week.

ALL AUDITIONS WILL RECEIVE 2 HOUSE POINTS!!!

Please could you help your child to prepare for this by supporting him/her in their practicing and letting them perform to you as a pretend show. Through this support your child will feel more confident, prepared and excited about auditioning in class.

The finalists will be announced the following week and all finalists should be ready to perform on Community Day, 4th February!

Please encourage your child to take part in this opportunity to develop their performance and presentation skills, as well as supporting their house!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Christmas Gift

Last term we ran a House competition where we asked our school community and parents to bring in a Christmas gift that would be given to the Bangkok refugee children over the festive period. The support we received was overwhelming and overall received over 300 gifts. Those who were lucky enough to go deliver these gifts to the Bangkok Refugee Centre genuinely found it extremely emotional seeing the children’s faces light up when they were given these presents. On behalf of the House team and the children at the Bangkok Refugee Centre, thank you for your generosity and kindness, you really did make a difference to a child’s life over the festive holiday period.
