Workshops with Joachim Matschoss

Recently our students had the wonderful opportunity to work with a professional director and theatre expert Joachim Matschoss. Joachim really challenged our IB and IGCSE Drama students to push themselves creatively by approaching their devised work more innovatively. The result was some very impactful and thoughtful work.

Frantic Assembly Performance

Last Monday evening 30 of our IB and IGCSE drama students went to Shrewsbury International School to watch the renowned UK based theatre company Frantic Assembly perform an extremely poignant piece of theatre entitled ‘This Will All Be Gone’. Using their trademark physical and dynamic performance style they wove a story together about  multiple characters whose lives move towards a countdown of self realisation. Afterwards our students had the opportunity to question the performers and they gained an enormous amount of insight into the process of devising and collaborating.
