Primary School Library Summer Reading Challenge 2019
Please encourage your children to take part in our fun Summer Reading Challenge over the holiday. We look forward to seeing all the entries and awarding lots of house points when we come back to school. Happy reading.
Don’t forget our current Year 6 students who are moving up to the High School can also take part and we encourage this especially as books can be returned to the High School Library in August.
Library Monitors’ Pizza Party
Over the past year our Library monitors have done a great job in helping us and their colleagues. We all enjoyed a celebratory slice of pizza to thank them for their efforts and to wish our Year 6 leavers the best of luck at their new schools. We have received 38 applications for the new term and will be sifting through these and appointing our new Library monitors early next term.
PS Library Closing Early for Summer
The Primary School Library will be undergoing some refurbishment work over the summer holidays (which we are rather excited about) and so we will be closing at 4.00 p.m. on Monday 24 June to allow us to pack and store the books safely before the teachers break for the holiday and the contractors move in.
There will be no access to the Library on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 June, although we will place a basket outside for any late returns. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Ms Kerry, Ms Dimple and Khun Toi thank you for your support over the past year and wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to seeing you again in August or, if you are heading off somewhere new, we wish you safe travels and good luck for the future.
Happy holidays.
