Encouraging students to be curious about the world is an important aspect of teaching Geography for me. I decided to move to Thailand and work at St Andrews International School Bangkok, as the learning environment is extremely welcoming and supportive of this concept.
After graduating from the University of Nottingham, I worked as a Learning Support Assistant in London which secured my passion for working with young people. I then completed my teacher training through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, in London. Following this I completed a Masters in Leadership with the Institute of Education, focusing on culture and ethos in schools. I worked at the same school in London for three years, leading the Geography Department for my final year, before moving to Thailand.
Away from teaching I enjoy playing netball, helping with Track ECA, and of course travelling to see the wonders of this world. I am looking forward to exploring Asia particularly through its cuisine and eclectic cultural offering.
