It’s always great to see former and current EAL students in public speaking roles, be it during an assembly or class presentations. They’ve blown us away with how confident and eager they are to participate in roleplays, speaking parts in assemblies and even giving instructions on how to make our very own Chocolate Swodge Sundae!
Their topics over these past few weeks have ranged from Mythical Beasts and what they look like, to things you would find Under the Sea. The children have designed and drawn their very own Mythical Beast and described it spawning a fun game of Guess my picture/Charades. Under the sea, things are looking up as we find a friendly shark and the next clue on our adventure!
With the younger children, we’ve been learning about things we find in our rooms and how to show someone around our house if we’ve got visitors. They’ve drawn or designed their very own rooms and have taken their friends for a whirlwind tour beginning with the object closest to them.
The children have continued to show such resilience in their learning and risk taking when trying a new activity. Well done to all the EAL children.
