Year 5s Battle Their Way Into Term 2

The Year 5s have made a fantastic start to 2019. They have kicked off their new topic, ‘Battles’, with an entry point activity focusing on filming.

The children were introduced to many film techniques, particularly camera angles. The children experimented with shots such as close ups, high angles, worm’s eye view and establishing shots. They created photos that represented the word "battle" using the different camera angles.

The Year 5s then set about putting all this new knowledge into play by devising a iMovie trailer that would depict a battle in some way. The children planned their shots and text in order to create some WOW trailers, worthy of any cinema screening!
