This term the children have been super enthusiastic about our topic, Active Planet.
The children have been learning about the Earth’s Core as they create their very own structure using playdough. They’ve also enjoyed learning about tectonic plates and how they affect natural disasters from forming. Recently we learnt about earthquakes where the children enjoyed making earthquake proof buildings using marshmallows and toothpicks.
Class teachers created an earthquake by placing their earthquake proof building in a container and shaking it for 8 seconds to see if can withstand an earthquake.
