I am from New Zealand, where I qualified as a teacher ten years ago. Since then I have worked with children aged from 1 to 6 years old, both in my home country and in Beijing. I have lived in Beijing for several years and am still getting to know this ever-changing city.
I think children’s early education experiences are the key to a lifetime of learning and I love supporting children to make exciting new discoveries. Since moving to Beijing I have learned many things with my students, including how to raise silkworms and the tricky art of making dumplings. I encourage children to develop their natural curiosity about the world around them and become aware of our role in taking care of our amazing planet.
I love being outdoors and enjoy long walks in Beijing’s many beautiful parks and fascinating historic areas. I have travelled to many places in China, but it’s such a big country and there are many more places I still plan to visit.
I am very much looking forward to joining BSB Sanlitun and working with the Early Years team to provide a challenging, exciting and caring environment for my new students.
