I started teaching in an Outstanding Private Nursery in South London on a temporary contract after working as a Supply Teacher for a few months. I enjoyed the Early Years setting so much I ended up staying nearly 6 years. I eventually left to gain more experience in a school setting and worked at two schools in the same borough.
I have always worked in the Early Years either in Nursery or Reception classes as I feel it is a crucial period in the school lives of children and I enjoy making it fun. I work hard at maintaining good relationships with both my pupils and their parents, and I have keen interest in getting children to love reading and enjoying books.
I moved to China in 2017 with one of my two daughters, we really love the city of Beijing and the culture, history and great food it has to offer. We have been welcomed warmly by the BSB family, and soon began travelling to visit other cities around China such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Tianjin.
Since being in the Early Years Campus, I have worked in Pre-Nursery and Reception and I really do get excited about coming to work.
I am currently the Early Years Academic leader and work closely alongside the Head of Early years, supporting staff and parents. This year I will be entering the role of Assistant Head of Early Years and I am thrilled to get to grips with my new role!
