Head of Performing Arts
Having received degrees in BA (Hons) Philosophy from Reading University and MSc Music Information Technology from City University, London, I completed my PGCE in 2007 at St Martin’s College (now part of the University of Cumbria). My teaching career began at Gatehouse, an independent co-ed day school in East London. I got a rich variety of teaching experiences, being, in turn, a specialist teacher for each of English and Music, as well as form teacher for Years 2 and 6.

Music Teacher, Choir Conductor
After graduating from the Music Academy at Belgrade University with a Masters Degree in Music Education (in 2006), I began my career as a choir conductor in Sydney, where I got my Degree recognised by the Australian Government and Ministry of Education.
Performing Arts Teacher
Teaching is my passion! I love the fact that no two days are ever the same. I came to teaching later in life after having spent a few years travelling and working abroad. I have been lucky enough teach in Switzerland, Reunion Island, Cyprus and Nanjing, working mostly in KS2. Prior to this, I spent two years living in Paris and a year travelling around Australia before returning to full time education.
English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher
Moving to China from Australia was a big change and it was the point where I decided to switch from a career in the financial sector to one that I always thought about when I was younger, an educator.
This is my first year at BSB Sanlitun. I am very excited to join the global community of educators and the EAL team of specialists.
EAL Teacher
After achieving a bachelor’s in business and working in the senior healthcare field as a marketing director and hospice coordinator, I felt that life was calling me in a new direction. Thus, I took on the adventure of coming to Beijing to teach English. I fell in love with the teaching profession along with Chinese culture. In addition to my teaching experience, I have developed myself as a professional teacher completing a master’s in ESL and ESL K-12 teacher licensure, both issued by Hamline University from the state of Minnesota, USA. Going further, I have completed CELTA, TEFL, and TKT certifications.
German Teacher
I have been teaching German language in Beijing for 11 years. I have both worked in the university sector with Masters students and at the same time in primary schools with German children.
Head of PE
I have worked as primary school teacher since qualifying with a Bachelor of Education from Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland. In that time I have worked as both a class teacher and learning support teacher in schools in Cork and Dublin.
