Year 5 Pelicans Class Teacher

After graduating from the University of Exeter, I studied for a Masters in sustainable development before setting my heart on teaching. I decided to pursue a career in primary education due to the quantity and quality of time I get to spend with the children. For the past three years, I have taught in schools in inner city London, where I worked with children from a variety of backgrounds. I have gained a wide range of skills and responsibilities as my teaching career has progressed. I am currently in my fourth year of teaching, having taught across years 3-5 at Key Stage 2 level.

I decided to apply to BSB Sanlitun due to the world class education on offer. Living in Beijing will give me a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a new lifestyle and culture that I am keen to embrace. I already have a list of family and friends waiting to visit!

My hobbies include travel, sports and writing. Working in Beijing gives me a great opportunity to travel and explore new countries. My sporting passions include playing badminton and tennis. I am also a huge football fan and support Liverpool FC, the club from the city I was born and raised in. In my spare time, I have also started to write my own songs and I am developing ideas for a novel.
