2014 BSB SATS Results Summary
In 2014, we achieved outstanding Key Stage 2 SATs results. Our level 5 results comfortably exceeded the UK national average in both English and Maths. This is a fantastic achievement for our Year 6 pupils.
The results are a testament to BSB’s outstanding teaching professionals, our distinctive educational model and the continued high quality work and effort from our students.
STANDARDISED ASSESSMENT TESTING (SATs)
KS2 SATs papers are taken by pupils in Year 6 as part of the National Curriculum assessment programme. They consist of several English and Mathematics papers and in previous years have also included Science. These tests include curriculum content that your child would have learned during their time in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) and the results provide your child with a National Curriculum Level. The expected level for a pupil in Year 6 is a Level 4. Pupils working above the expected level may achieve a Level 5.
Unlike many international schools, at The British School of Beijing, we send our papers away to be externally marked. This means we are confident that they have been moderated along with papers sat by children in schools in the UK and that the marks are given without bias.
