Entry Requirements

The British College of Brazil is an inclusive school. We have over 38 nationalities among a body of 600 students, all of whom are unique and have a range of academic and co-curricular abilities.

We do have a few stipulated entry requirements that families must provide upon applying.

These include:

  • Last two years of school reports (in English if possible)
  • School transcript or Histórico Escolar for students from Year 2 (1st grade) upwards.
  • Email address of teacher or Head of Year in order to request an academic reference.
  • Proof of enrollment from the previous school.
  • A family interview, either in São Paulo or via Skype.
  • Parents RG or Passport/RNE.
  • Student's Birth Certificate (for brazilians) or Passport/RNE for foreigners.

We are an English-speaking school, and therefore having a good grasp of the language is a significant advantage. We do provide EAL (English as an Additional Language) lessons, however we strictly limit the number of students who need significant support to fully access our curriculum.

Some students may need additional, specialised support due to a moderate learning difficulty. This can be generally supported through our SEN department, depending on the level of support required.

If you have any questions or concerns about the entry requirements or your child’s educational needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We accept applications all year round.
