School Extension Construction Field Tour

I was delighted to be invited to attend a site visit this week together with Guen and Kang-San from Year 12. It was fabulous to see the huge amount of work that has already taken place and witness the exciting transformation. It was also amazing to see visuals and paper plans actioned!

I shall hand over to Kang-San now to give his account of our visit.

This was the first site visit. Its purpose was to briefly introduce the process of construction as well as to satisfy our curiosity behind the development of the new site.

We noted that this extension building includes a number of large classrooms, a brand new Sixth Form Centre, an extended canteen, etc. It retains open space and fantastic views from the windows.
The visitors were astonished by the scale and the team work of the work force, making giant leaps of progress in construction. One member of staff quoted “we are amazed by the size of classrooms and appreciate the builders’ hard work, I’m excited and looking forward to teaching in these rooms”.
The construction is projected to be complete by this summer and be available to staff and students in the coming academic year.
