Les began his teaching life in the UK, and after three years he started a new career in international education which has taken him to Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Norway and finally Budapest.  He has coached sports at all levels with a speciality in Basketball, Football and Athletics.

Les joined the British International School Budapest in September 2015.

Les firmly believes in an open sharing classroom where students take responsibility for their own learning. His ambition is to implement the Learning Power philosophy of Guy Claxton into his teaching and create strong, compassionate and dedicated lifelong learners.

In his spare time, Les enjoys living in a vibrant city.  He is an avid historian and keen cyclist so his weekends go quickly. He enjoys exploring sailing opportunities on Lake Balaton in the summer months and becoming a Hungarian culture expert to impress his friends across the world.
